Industry Resources & Associations

Nevada Tow Connect exists alongside a broader network of organizations working on behalf of the towing industry and the drivers it serves. We think it's worth naming them directly, rather than acting like this directory exists in a vacuum.

Nevada State Tow Association (NSTA)

The Nevada State Tow Association is the non-profit trade association representing Nevada's professional towing and recovery industry. NSTA works on legislative advocacy, industry safety standards, and maintaining working relationships with agencies including the Nevada Highway Patrol, DMV, NDOT, and the Nevada Transportation Authority.

Several companies in our directory were identified through NSTA's own public member directory, and we independently cross-checked each one against the NTA's carrier registry before adding it here. We're grateful for the work NSTA does to represent legitimate operators in this state.

Nevada Transportation Authority (NTA)

The Nevada Transportation Authority is the state regulatory body that certifies and oversees tow car operators under NRS Chapter 706. Every "Verified" listing on this site is cross-referenced against the NTA's public carrier registry — see our About page for more on how that process works.

Towing and Recovery Association of America (TRAA)

The Towing and Recovery Association of America is the national trade association representing the U.S. towing and recovery industry at the federal level, including safety advocacy and professional certification. TRAA, in partnership with WreckMaster, administers the Towing & Recovery Operator Certification Program (TROCP) — a widely recognized national certification standard for tow operators, covering customer service, safety, incident management, and equipment operation.

While NTA certification is what's required to legally operate in Nevada, some companies in our directory may also hold TROCP or WreckMaster certifications as an additional mark of training and professionalism. If you're a listed company with a national certification you'd like reflected on your listing, let us know via our Contact page.

Why We're Listing This

Part of doing this the right way is being transparent about where our information comes from and who else is working toward the same goal — safer roads and more accountable towing. If you're aware of another Nevada-specific or national organization we should include here, we'd like to hear about it.
